TopoDrive and ParticleFlow are simple 2D groundwater models to simulate:

• topography-driven flow

• advective transport of fluid particles

These tools are designed for users to learn about groundwater modeling, for visual demonstration, and for modeling at the exploratory or conceptual level.

The online version of TopoDrive and ParticleFlow are adapted from two computer codes of the same names developed in 2001 by the U.S. Geological Survey (see pdf of USGS report). These USGS codes are in the public domain.

In keeping with the open-access nature of the original USGS codes, the online version of TopoDrive and ParticleFlow provided in this website are free to use by anyone. No License is necessary.
